Is ChatGPT HIPAA compliant?

It depends on the plan. OpenAI signs BAAs for certain sales-managed Enterprise and healthcare offerings, but not for self-serve plans like ChatGPT Business, Plus or Free. Without a BAA, entering PHI into a tool is generally not permitted under HIPAA. Hathr.AI includes a BAA on every plan.
